LeftBrain is now a Cyber Scheme accredited company

Choosing a cyber security partner means trusting that the people behind the service can actually deliver, and this accreditation adds another layer of verification to what we already bring to the table.

LeftBrain · September 8th 2026
A group of about nineteen colleagues stand in a single line for a photo on an outdoor basketball court, enclosed by tall green fencing with trees and a white apartment block behind them. Most wear smart-casual summer clothing—shorts, polos, and light dresses—and one person near the centre holds a basketball. The group is mixed in age and style, with several people in sunglasses, and the overall mood is relaxed, as if taken during a team outing or office social event.

We are thrilled to announce that LeftBrain is now a Cyber Scheme Accredited Company.

Choosing a cyber security partner means trusting that the people behind the service can actually deliver, and this accreditation adds another layer of verification to what we already bring to the table. Alongside our two NCSC Assured accreditations, among the most rigorous marks of credibility in the industry, we’ve now been accredited under The Cyber Scheme’s Accredited Company Programme.

What the accreditation confirms

The Cyber Scheme’s Accredited Company mark isn’t awarded lightly. It confirms that:

  • Our workforce capability aligns to recognised professional standards, including the UK Cyber Security Council’s Chartered Cyber Security Professional framework
  • We employ individuals with verified, specialism-specific competence
  • We’re committed to maintaining those skills and standards through continuous professional development

In short, it links proven individual expertise to organisational credibility, so when you work with LeftBrain, you’re working with independently verified professionals, not just a company that says it knows security. That confirmation sits on top of certifications LeftBrain already holds, including Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001, and it isn’t a one-off badge: accreditation is renewed annually, so the standard has to keep being met rather than claimed once.

What The Cyber Scheme had to say

Announcing the accreditation on LinkedIn, The Cyber Scheme described the conversations with our CEO Charlie Naughton-Rumbo as centred on “making a difference, the need for trust and a shared passion for innovation.”

“LeftBrain brings senior, government-assured security expertise in a form that fits how these teams work: proportionate to their real risk and stage of growth, delivered with the pace and flexibility ambitious businesses need.”

Specialising in ISO 27001 and SOC 2, they noted, LeftBrain guides clients through certification and enterprise due diligence “as an extension of their team — pairing senior expertise with the execution capacity and ongoing operational care to carry the work through and keep it standing well beyond the certificate.”

And on what sets us apart:

“As one of a small number of NCSC-assured consultancies in the UK (and a certified B Corp) LeftBrain holds itself to a standard its clients can stand behind: the credibility to pass the reviews, win the work, and scale on foundations that hold.”

Why it matters for your organisation

If you’re evaluating a security consultancy, this accreditation gives you an external, verifiable benchmark to weigh alongside our own claims. It sits alongside our other credentials, including NCSC Assured status, UK Government approval, and our CEO’s own Chartered status with the UK Cyber Security Council, as part of a wider picture of accountability.

As Charlie puts it: “In a managed services relationship, trust is the foundation. That’s why we hold ourselves to standards that are externally verified rather than self-declared. Our Cyber Scheme accreditation gives our clients that assurance: independent proof that the standards we meet are real, current and rigorously assessed.”
